Can you help?

The project has only just started and we are looking for support to rebuild this lost racing car. The aim of the project is to research the history of the car and bring it back to its former glory.

The car originally came with a Lincoln Zephyr V12 engine and was ahead of its time with its rear engine mounting. It was a great disappointment to find that the car did not come with the original engine which is a great shame, but we are hot on the trail at this time to see if we can find it.

The Purchase of the 1941 Lincoln Race Car

In 2014 just after the second Vintage Hot Rod Association (VHRA) Pendine event. I spoke to friends and asked them what I should do?

The questions were, does the car have any racing history as it will be hard to get it on the track with none. I knew the car was a racing car and I thought it must have history, but I just did not know what it was. I took the advise and made an offer on the car which was located in Kansas, USA and owned by Mark at Model T Haven.

Mark accepted my offer and the first phase of the projected was started.

The Discovery

The story started for me back in 2011, when I found an old, what looked to be a race car, well that is what it was advertised as. The dream started, but then I knew that I had some issues, monies, space and the build its self. So I shelved the idea and went back to my 49 Panheads and my old 65 Chevy Suburban.

It would not to be for another two years, before I would look at the old 1941 Lincoln Race Car again. It was just after the first Vintage Hot Rod Association (VHRA) event at Pendine Sands, Wales 2013. I still thought about the funding and storage issues with getting the car.
